percentile rank

John Amora
Hi all,

A dataset with 10,000 cases has a variable called "score". I want to add another variable "P" into the same dataset, where P is the percentile rank of "score".  Can you suggest an SPSS syntax?

Thank you.

Re: percentile rank

Johnny,

Would this work (untested)?

RANK VARIABLES = score
  /NTILES (100)
  INTO p .

Best regards,
